The no-rinse disinfectant hand sanitizer has become an essential part of everyday life because of its high efficiency and convenience. Currently, there are two main types of alcohol-containing and alcohol-free hand sanitizers on the market, the former with 75% alcohol as the main solvent and the latter with water and trace amounts of germicides and additives. A non-wash hand sanitizer gel with multiple effects such as antibacterial, disinfection, mosquito repellent, moisturizing and skin care, was developed by IPE, through adding natural active components such as artemisia wax oil, aloe vera glucoside, eucommia japonica glucoside and gardenia essential oil on the basis of alcohol-containing hand sanitizer. The product has passed the test of Henan Provincial Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, and the result shows that the antibacterial rate of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans are 100%, which has strong antibacterial effect and can be mass produced.

The project realises the full use of Artemisia annua wax oil, improves the utilisation of Artemisia resources. Which is green, environmentally friendly, healthy, closer to people's lives and meets the vast demand in the field of toiletries.
