Research and Innovation Forum on Coronavirus, hosted jointly by Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Science (IMCAS) and Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO), was held on November 1-3. 2021 in Beijing, China.

The theme of the conference was “conquering sars-cov-2. science gives us answers”. More than 60 experts in the field of coronavirus research, including academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Sciences and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, were invited to deliver presentations. The forum focused on four major topics: (1) virus infection and pathogenesis, (2) vaccine, antibody and drug development, (3) immune response mechanism and clinical diagnosis and treatment, (4) public health and global health strategies. More than 600 participants joined in online communications.
