This year, ICCES joined a Global Open Science Cloud (GOSC) project which is held by the Committee on Data for Science and Technology (CODATA). The cooperation between ICCES and GOSC team aims to publicize CAS-ESM for serving SDGs.

Southeast Asian climate prediction is chosen to be the typical research case this year. ICCES and GOSC team will organize seminars for discussing it during the phase of long-time cooperation.

On 12th October, the first GOSC group meeting with the theme of SDG13-Climate action and natural disaster was held online. Prof. Zhaohui Lin and Dr. Chenglai Wu attended the meeting. In Prof. Lin’s speech, he introduced the development of CAS-ESM and the achievements that have been made in recent years especially climate prediction in Thailand, and he expressed that more international cooperation can be made through the GOSC platform in the future.
