As one of CAS-TWAS Centers of Excellence（CoE）and COMSATS Centers of Excellence, ICCES actively participates in the activities held by TWAS. On March 9, 2021, Dr. Romain Murenzi, executive director of TWAS, and Dr. Mohamed H.A. Hassan, president of TWAS, were invited to attend the Lectures on ‘South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Socio-Economic Development" organized by COMSATS, and they gave a keynote speech entitled "Capacity building in the Global South: the contribution of TWAS" and "Science Diplomacy and Scientific Migration", respectively, which introduce the details of projects and activities of TWAS to enhance the research capacity of developing countries.

Five researchers from ICCES attended the seminar and had in-depth discussions with the guests on how to maintain good communication with TWAS, carry out cooperation, and use TWAS as a media platform for publicity.
