From March 25 to 27, 2020, the international green technology training course with the theme of " Frontiers of Green Science and Technology in Chemical Industry " was successfully held. In combination with the current situation of high incidence of epidemic, the training was specially conducted by online video conference to share the progress of green technologies related to resource/energy and environmental protection to the participants. The training was organized by CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Green Technology (CEGT) of Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), with the support of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Alliance of International Science Organizations of "the Belt and Road" Region. This training is mainly for young scholars and graduate students in the field of chemistry and Chemical Engineering from countries along "the Belt and Road". The organizing committee has received more than 500 applications from more than 30 countries, including Pakistan, India, Nigeria, Thailand, Iran, Iraq, Sudan and Nepal act. Organizing committee invited more than 10 researchers, professors and associate researchers from the IPE, Tsinghua University and Shanxi Coal Chemical Institute of the CAS, formed a powerful training team. The main training contents include green chemical technology, computational chemistry, instrumental analysis, scientific paper writing and journal introduction, and received extensive praise and recognition by the students. The successful holding of the training course not only promoted the new concept of green technology for young science and technology workers in developing countries, provided a platform for learning and communication, deepened their understanding of the development status of green science and technology, but also laid a good foundation for further promoting scientific and technological cooperation with developing countries in the field of green chemistry and chemical engineering. At the same time, the online video lecture method adopted in this training has expanded the new channel for international training and communication.
